Design & Build

The Redmi Note 14S has a clean, slim profile. At 179g, it feels light in hand. The back is simple with a triple camera setup. The 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with Gorilla Glass protection adds durability.

You get a 1080×2400 resolution, which looks sharp. Colors are bright. Viewing angles are solid.

It’s not flashy. But it’s solid.

Performance

This phone uses the Mediatek Helio G99 Ultra chipset. It runs on Android 15. You get:

• Octa-core CPU

• 2×2.2 GHz Cortex-A76

• 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55

Apps open fast. You can switch between them easily. No overheating in light to moderate use.

For games like Free Fire or PUBG, the 8GB RAM helps. The experience is smooth with medium to high settings.

It’s not made for extreme gaming, but it can handle it when needed.

Camera

You get three rear cameras:

• 8MP ultra-wide

• 2MP depth sensor

Images from the main camera are sharp during the day. Colors are balanced. Low light shots are decent but not great. The ultra-wide lens works, but detail drops.

The 16MP selfie cam does well for video calls and social media. It sits in a punch-hole on the display. Video is limited to 1080p at 30/60fps. No 4K here.

Still, the 200MP sensor is the highlight. It delivers solid shots if you don’t mind daylight limitations.

Battery Life

The 5000mAh battery holds up well. You can get a full day of use without issue. Moderate use gets you more than a day.

With 67W fast charging, it goes from 0 to full in about 45 minutes. No complaints here.

Software

Android 15 brings a clean interface. No heavy bloatware. Xiaomi’s custom skin is lightweight and smooth.

Face unlock and fingerprint unlock work well. No lag. You also get useful features like reading mode, dark mode, and quick gestures.
